Rick’s proven track-record of building and successfully exiting high growth companies spans 35 years and includes extensive experience in talent development, general management and capital raising with financial service and technology companies in the U.S. and abroad. As Chief Executive of Magnifi, Rick worked with a talented team to drive the adoption of their cutting-edge investment marketplace. Magnifi, an AI platform for wealth, is at the forefront of an unstoppable digital trend in financial services. Because it is changing and re-framing the investment experience, Rick opened new markets among professional and self directd investors while expanding Ad Tech and data sales opportunities.

As Chief Executive of London Stock Exchange listed Tungsten Corporation plc, Rick took on the stewardship of a business that, without action, would have collapsed. He led the stabilisation and turnaround of the business into profitable growth. Rick recruited a high performing team and morphed Tungsten from a pure play electronic invoicing business to establish the world’s most trusted business transaction network using data intelligently to strengthen the global supply chain. For Global 500 clients, Rick drove a strategy to leverage the AP automation platform to generate disruptive supply chain financing solutions.

Prior to taking the helm at Tungsten, Rick was the chief executive of Pictometry International, Rick led the strategic transformation of this category-defining company in the changing geospatial industry. He had served as Chairman of the Board at Pictometry, a role he held for eight years. During that time, he worked tirelessly on the commercialization of Pictometry’s patented aerial imaging information system. Prior to running and successfully selling Pictometry, Rick was a partner at Aegis Investment Partners, a private investment firm which focuses on buying and turning distressed operating assets. Previously, he was a Managing Partner with Bancorp Services, a firm that advised financial institutions on risk and asset-liability management. There, he served as CEO of the firm’s subsidiary broker-dealer which constructed and distributed structured products through Wall Street investment banks. As part of a collaborative effort of nationally recognized consultants, his team placed and administered $12.5billion of deal flow. Earlier in his career, Rick served as the Managing Director of Bridge Information Systems (UK ) Ltd, a $225 million vendor of real-time and historic financial information. There he reorganized the company’s European operations to effectively transition from start-up to high-growth and developed and led all non-U.S. equity and derivative trading. Because of his broad investing and operating experience, Rick has served as a Director on the boards of Manning & Napier, Inc (NYSE: MN) Symbility Solutions (TSX.V: SY) and Tungsten Corporation (LSE: TUNG). The National Association of Corporate Directors has certified him as a Board Leadership Fellow. Rick graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Rochester and holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Philosophy.
